Lucas Vaz is Founder and General Partner at Ravelin Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm backing exceptional founders building Critical Software. Around five years ago, two things became evident to Lucs: first, that the decay of American infrastructure, the collapse of American institutions, and the changing geopolitical tides would become the defining issues of this era. And second, that entrepreneurs taking on these challenges, either by developing software solutions for hard industries or verticalizing them with software at its core, would create not just very important, but incredibly valuable companies. These beliefs led Lucas to invest in the first round of companies like Apex, Hadrian, Pylon, Traba, and many others. Lucas was born and raised in Brazil, immigrated to America in the 2010s and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
